LEARN

Did you know that for every dollar spent locally, up to 70% stays within the Village, helping small businesses, creating jobs, and stimulating growth?  We are so lucky to have a number of fabulous retailers in Downtown Glen Ellyn with sustainable products. We unfortunately didn't have time to feature them all - but we encourage you to shop local! Below are the shops we visited this week which offer great products for everyone on your list - and maybe a little something for yourself!

Ten Thousand Villages - 503 Pennsylvania Ave
As one of the world’s oldest and largest fair trade organizations, Ten Thousand Villages has spent more than 60 years cultivating trading relationships in which artisans receive a fair price for their work and consumers have access to distinctive handcrafted items. Their products are beautiful and functional!

a la main - 577 Pennsylvania Ave, Suite 103
This is not just a shop, it's also a refillery - meaning once you find and love a product, you can bring the container back again and again to refill. It cuts down on so much packaging waste, and the containers are beautiful.  Plus all sorts of additional goodies here!

String Theory - 477 N. Main St
Not a knitter? Us either (yet)! But String Theory carries so much more than yarn. They have curated a collection of socially conscious and environmentally friendly products that support other small businesses and artisans.

Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce - 810 N. Main St
We all have that person on our list that is a real head scratcher. Why not give them a Chamber Gift Card?! Available for purchase at the Chamber, Stacy's Corner Store, or Glen Ellyn Public Library.
