DuPage County Environmental Committee is pleased to offer the opportunity to recycle political and other corrugated plastic and cardboard signs for recycling. LRS will collect signs and metal stands at no cost. Only corrugated plastic and cardboard will be accepted. Metal stands must be separated from signs prior to drop off.
You can also drop them off to one of the local GE addresses below before noon on November 15, and Go Green will bring the signs AND metal holders to the drop off point at the DuPage County Building.
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Door 2, 393 N. Main St. (outside church office near parking lot)
First Congregational Church, 535 Forest Ave (in parking lot near Boy Scout Trailer)
Things to note:
Plastic corrugated signs only, no paper
Separate the metal stand from the plastic sign, as these need to be recycled separately.
If your sign is for a candidate you may support in the future, why not keep it or ask their office if they will take them back for reuse?
Remember these signs are being specially recycled. If you miss the drop off window, do not put them in your curbside bin!
